Before buying a bird from a Wayside private pet seller, check out the condition of its habitat, how well they’re cared for and how healthy the other birds appear. If you’ve never owned a bird before it may be wise to start with a parakeet or some other smaller breed first. Larger birds usually require more attention. Research your bird’s breed thoroughly and make your home bird ready before you buy.
